I started running 3 years ago after losing my Dad in order to have a healthier, happier life style. I’ve set myself lots of personal challenges and achieved quite a few of them already. The Great North Run will see me complete another challenge when I run in Dad’s home town in his memory. If I asked Dad which charity I should raise money for he would have said Newcastle United FC they need the money for a new striker (Dad always had a great sense of humour)

As I’m lucky enough to be able to step outside the front door and run when other people are not so lucky I decide to raise money for Sportsable who help people with disabilities (including my eldest son Sam) have access to a large variety of sports.
