Our vision is that every child and young person in the UK has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to THRIVE!!
HI! I’m Leah. I’m 24. I have two amazing children, Ellie(2) and Ollie(1). I have a dog, Skye. A kitty called... kitty (it’s a long story) and we all live in our family home with my partner and everyone else’s daddy, Jordan.
I’m one of the managing directors of Yummy Promotions! Never heard of us? You will!
Anyway.. we’re not here to talk about us! We’re here to talk about Action for children!
This year Yummy Promotions have selected Action for Children as their charity of choice for the year 2020!
What does this mean?
We’re going to be working closely with them over the next year all raising funds for the incredible services they provide in the Elgin area! We’re also going to donate a set amount of our company profits to them over the year 2020!
However!!
We can only make so much of a difference on our own! How can we set a standard? Well... I’M JUMPING OUT OF A PLANE! Come next February. I’ll be strapped up and sent into what I’m assured is a very safe aircraft to climb the clouds. DIDN’T I MENTION! I’M LEAVING HALF WAY THROUGH THE TRIP!
In the Moray area, their services include 3 children’s homes, a family support services and an employability service.
Our support will be bringing once in a lifetime opportunities to their service users. Things they may never otherwise have the opportunity to do! The ability to for a little girl to visit Disney-land, the chance for a young man to travel the world to meet his hero’s. Things you and I may take for granted but to these children it’s a dream only we can make come true.
Action for children are worthy of recognition for the work they do in our community. Supporting not just their service users but their families. Sending gifts to the brothers and sisters of their children. Why? It’s simple. Should any child wake up on Christmas without something small?
In November they are due to open a new service in Buckie! This service is going to be targeted at bringing young adults and young family’s who may be struggling back into employment or education. They aim to provide educational courses, employability skills and confidence building workshops in a calm and relaxed environment.
As part of their new program they will be running a new public larder with a public kitchen! The aim is to bring small basic cooking classes to the community. In order to do so, we need to raise funds for the equipment!
Finally! They are going to be holding therapeutic Lego build classes for children! We think it’s a great idea. Some of the funds raised will also go towards new Lego sets for the children!
We are also going to be holding a community gala at Cooper park in February! More information can be found closer to the time on our Facebook @YummyPromotions. All the proceeds of this event will also be donated to action for children! Come along, wish me luck! I may just need it..
Your donations are appreciated! Please remember to share! Together we can make a difference! #TeamYummy #ActionForChildren
£10 can put a homeless child into emergency housing overnight

A big thank you to everyone who has made this possible! You know who you are!❤️
