Next month, I’m travelling to Nicaragua for 10 weeks to work as a volunteer with the charity Raleigh as part of a government programme called International Citizen Service. It’s part of a government programme of development work to reduce poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals set by the UN in 2000. It's going to be a really well-done, valuable mission and I'll be working with other Nicaraguan & British volunteers to tackle development issues such as safe sanitation and environmental sustainability in rural parts of the country.

But before I go, I need to fundraise £800 for the charity’s future programmes. To do this, I’m raffling off 3 adult tickets or 1 family group ticket (2 adults, 2 kids) to Thorpe Park.
