Rob Roy Mighty Hike 2023 - half marathon · 3 September 2023 ·

We are hiking a full or half marathon along the Rob Roy Way to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

Story

I’m fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support by doing the Rob Roy Mighty Hike, which explores the Rob Roy Way through the wild and beautiful Trossachs National Park. This is my first ever half marathon (walking).

“Why now?”. Well, I’m in Perthshire for a month and offered to walk with one of my family’s neighbours as he undertakes the Mighty Hike.  It then occurred to me that by signing up myself, I might be able to raise more money for this essential charity that helps people living with cancer.  They are close to my heart.

I know, it’s only 10 days away, so I’ve not exactly given myself much time to raise funds :-).

I have pledged to raise £350 and would appreciate any support in reaching this. It could go towards funding a Macmillan Support Worker for two days who could provide emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer. Macmillan will receive this amount no matter what, but If you would consider donating even a small amount, it would make all the difference. Pounds, Dollars or Euros would all be welcome!
