Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Justin Smith Foundation JustGiving page, which contributes to the 'In Memory' fundraising pages, the link to which can be found above. Donations here are very welcome.

In March 2014 Justin Smith died suddenly from heart complications, leaving very many of us shocked and bereft. He was just 46. You can read his obituary in 'The Guardian' here: http://bit.ly/JustinsObituary. In order to create something positive out of this tragic situation, his wife Lucy has set up the Justin Smith Foundation in his memory. It is run in partnership with Avon Wildlife Trust, where Justin had worked, and offers opportunities for budding ecologists to learn about the fascinating kingdom of fungi. This is an important part of Justin's legacy of love for the natural  environment. We have linked this page to an 'In Memory' page for Justin, so that we can continue to grow the Fund over time. Anyone can donate to the Justin Smith Foundation here, or by linking their own page here. Thank you.
