Story

On September 28th at Derby Velodrome I will be experiencing a white knuckle ride on the back of a cycle. I will be with an experienced pilot who know what he/she is doing!

I'm told the bikes don't have brakes this makes them safer!! We will travel at up to 50mph round a track that has two 180 degree turns and goes from a 12 degree angle to a 42 degree angle. I won't see most of it as I will be holding my breath and have my eyes firmly clamped SHUT.

As if all of this wasn't bad enough I'll be dressed in Lycra!!!

Most of us take our sight for granted but about 1 in 30 people have a sight impairment. Sight Support Derbyshire provide practical support to people with sight impairment in the County of Derbyshire to help them remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.  Your sponsorship can help provide equipment, rehabilitation and support so please sponsor me and help me to reach my target.

Thank you for reading my page and on behalf of SSD thank you for your donation
