Katie & Sharon's running challenge

Hi! Thanks for visiting our page.
2018 will mark 18 years since my dad passed from oesophageal cancer, aged just 35. His death devastated his family and friends, with us still feeling pain from it today. I decided to run the 2018 London Marathon in memory of him.
Sadly, in Summer 2017, four other members of our family were diagnosed with this dreadful disease; resulting in me committing to run a further 2 marathons to raise money for World Cancer Research Fund UK.
My marathon schedule is:
World Cancer Research Fund UK is a charity that dedicates its time & effort to researching all forms of cancer and ways of prevention, with the hope that, in the future, other families will not have to go through the same devastating experience as ours. Nothing can ever bring dad back, but by raising money for the World Cancer Research Fund, the day a cure is found can be brought closer, meaning that nobody else will have to suffer through this awful disease, or live out all their amazing moments and milestones without a loved one.
Any support, no matter how big or small, will motivate us that little bit more to get out there and train in the dark, cold, inevitably rainy winter months when staying in bed seems like a far better option. Also please don't forget to GiftAid if you're a UK tax payer!!
