Story

As anyone reading this will probably know... on the 26th January 2015 I nearly lost my life to a drink driver.

He ploughed into myself, and my partner at the time Louis, in his pick-up truck after 2.5 pints. He drove off and left us for dead. Turning his truck around to look at us and driving off again.

We are both incredibly lucky to be here and I continue to fight to raise awareness against drink driving. Many think it’s OK to have a couple and get behind the wheel - my message is, it’s not worth the risk.

He turned our lives upside down, and his own life, with the choice he made that night.

I’m still recovering, both mentally and physically 6 years on. I struggle with major anxiety on the roads, and excruciating pain from the pins holding my legs together.

Despite all of that I am determined to complete a marathon - something I never thought I’d be able to do when learning to walk again.

Your donation and support means so much and will help me in my training.

Thank you for reading, for more info about the accident head to my Twitter and read my pinned thread.
