Committed to improving maternal care, the organisation aims to help tackle these high mortality rates, provide healthcare, nutrition and education; ultimately changing the circumstances of those suffering.

For this campaign in particular, Penny Appeal have received support from the government. UK Aid Match has agreed to DOUBLE every pound received in donation, helping to make TWICE the difference!

As one of the five pillars of Islam, Zakat i.e. charity is a religious obligation for all us Muslims. An act which in turn benefits us abundantly!

When giving charity we are promised abundant reward by our Lord in return for our efforts!

“Those who spend their wealth in Allah’s cause are like grains of corn which produce seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains.” (Qur’an, 2:261)🌾 Charity serves as a way to bring justice, balance and kindness to every society and community.

There are several ahadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which remind us of its importance: “When a person dies his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim, Al-Tirmidhi, others)

The mortality rates that Penny Appeal will be tackling through the efforts of this campaign are understandably low due to the conditions of the people within these areas. However, they can so easily have these afflictions removed, with your help, which will ultimately create a permanent change to the conditions of a people!
