1000 REP METABOLIC CIRCUIT · 29 March 2023

We provide support, advice and housing for people experiencing a problem with their mental health here in Birmingham. Last year 25,850 people accessed our services. We could not provide these services without your support. It makes a real difference to people in our community, thank you.

Story

In conjunction with Birmingham Mind’s Mindfulness March fundraising event, we are aiming to help raise even more money for this amazing mental health charity, with our fitness and martial arts members working towards an intense 1000 rep metabolic conditioning challenge on the 29th March

The challenge is a workout we call SPARTA BURNS and everyone participating with be doing 1000 REPS! (That’s A LOT!). The event will be against time conditions too. Participants will set their own challenge time based on personal ability level. However, everyone will complete it!

Birmingham Mind is a local charity based in the Jewellery Quarter. We think they are great! Their team work tremendously hard providing mental health services specifically to Birmingham/ Solihull areas. All current donations help to support services like their 24/7 helpline which offers crisis support, signposting, advice and guidance.
Over 2022 the same helpline took 20,966 calls and over 4,200 web chats. As a rough guide, it cost’s £1,000 to keep the helpline running for 7.5 hours.

About us..

Kaizen Performance Centre is a coaching facility situated in Jewellery Quarter and we are big on community! We work with all kinds of people, from our local community of fitness and yoga fans, to martial artists, dancers and athletes, all looking to improve their practice and health and be the best that they can be.

Our work with dancers from Birmingham Royal Ballet, musicians from City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and vocational performing arts schools around the country, places us in the privileged position of helping people in injury management, performance enhancement and building their confidence and self esteem.

Every client, student, practitioner is seen and treated as an individual. It is personal needs and ambitions that we cater for. A feature of the Kaizen philosophy is that big results will come from small improvements over time.
Our culture is one of collaboration and support, all our training groups are a friendly, upbeat experience. And now our community of Yogi, Martial Arts and MetCon athletes, are ready to rise to this challenge!

We love what Birmingham Mind are doing for mental health in the wider Birmingham community and want to help support them and the people around us. Mental health support has become a big part of what we do here at Kaizen, exercise does wonders for a persons mental health, positive self image and sense of achievement.
