Story

Hello everybody, hello Liverpoool!

So there's 2 things I love: Liverpool FC and running. Marathons and longer races for me the end of the pack slow runner;) I want to make use of myself and hope through collecting my marathons and longer races I can contribute to our local community and raise money for my favourite player, Jaime Carragher. I can only do the running though, it's YOU who can donate!

I'm challenging myself to run 5 MARATHONS IN 5 DAYS (how cool is that :D :D:D!!!) next week (27th - 31st May) and hope to raise some money for Jamie's charity! Never done such thing before. 5 marathons in 5 days! That means I will cover 26.2 miles a day on five consecutive days starting in Ilfracombe, North Devon on day one, finishing in Bulford near Salisbury, Wiltshire on day 5. Day 4 of the event is my birthday, and as a birthday present for me I would ask you to help the 23 Foundation too. Look what “hell” I’m putting myself through, you have it much easier! Just take that wallet out and give a penny or two! Imagine it’s just as if resigning from a chocolate todayJ Come on, you don’t really need it so much and the 23 Foundation really does NEED YOU!  Hopefully together we’ll make a difference.

And about the 5 marathons in 5 days challenge here:

More about me and my fundarising plans:

4 days after the 5 in 5 challenge I'm running my first 100km race, never done such a long challenge yet, my longest so far being 85km (52.4 miles - a double marathon) twice, first in Kent last July and then in December in Poland taking 11hrs54min and 10hrs34min respectively. 100 km is such a milestone for a beginner ultramarathon runner, you know. And it that's not enough the race is in the mountains and believe me, Polish mountains are quite well, "big".

Also my other plan is to run 100 marathons before I'm 30 (born 1889), which would make it a record for a female runner! I don’t count the longer races as some other people do, I think it’s a bit cheating  marathon is a marathon and not 52 miles or any longer, isn’t it. My first marathon was in April 2007, it was a bit illegal (don't tell the police please;) ) because I wasn't 18 yet at the time and since then I've done 12 marathons, 2 double marathons and a 56lime race from Glasgow to Edinburgh, which I haven't finished in time limit and only covered some 70km:( So I have 12 so far in 3 countries:

Wroclaw 2007 (April 2007), Poznan (Oct 2007), Torun (April 2008), Lodz (May 2008), Stratford upon Avon (April 2009),  then my first ultra, the double marathon Kent 50 Mile Challenge in July 2009), then Nottingham (Sept 2008), Snowdonia (Oct 2009), then my second 52 miler followed by a marathon in Bydgoszcz (Dec 2009), Katowice (Jan 2010), North Down's Way Pilgrim run (Feb 2010), Glasgow to Edinburgh race (March 2010), Paris and London (April 2010), and Windermere last week (May 2010).

I don't really like half marathons as they're too fast and too short for me but I've resolved to run our Liverpool Half every year and have 3 now since 2008. Otherwise, if you look at this I run “a half marathon” most days... down the Mersey just for training ;) Hope we’ll have our Liverpool Marathon soon.

So that’s my running past, future is the 100km, some more 52 double marathons, and of course many marathons. But the present is 5 marathons in 5 days!
