Our daughter, Holly, was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the beginning of March 2023. Unfortunately, she developed complications from the treatment being given and spent just over 3 weeks in Addenbrookes' paediatric intensive care unit. We live over 60 miles away from Addenbrookes, which is a huge distance when your child is critically ill in hospital. Acorn House is a 'home from home' on the Addenbrookes' site, and was just a few minutes walk from Holly's hospital bed. It is an invaluable resource for parents, and gives them one less thing to worry about, allowing them to concentrate on their child.  Thank you, The Sick Children's Trust for being there when we needed you.
