Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving

David is now 41 years old and he was first diagnosed just before his 40th birthday in April 2015 with tongue cancer. He has always been a non smoker and drinks occasionally so you can only imagine how devastated we all were.

He had 2 operations in May 2015 and was recovering.

In Sept 2015 a consultant found a lump in his neck after more tests he was told the cancer had spread and was now in the Lymph Nodes in his neck. He had another operation in October 2015. Unfortunately this did not remove the tumour and he needed treatment. We were told his cancer is a agressive type.

David had 6 weeks of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy in December 2015 which has just finished this year. We are now awaiting a scan at the hospital in a few months to see how he is doing.

In march 2016 we were told Daids cancer has spread again into his chest. He is currently having 18 weeks of chemotherapy.

David still has a long way to go but he is a inspiration to us all. A true superhero.

On the 30th July me and David's son Logan and lots of friends and family will be doing a sponsored 5k walk with children and then having a well deserved picnic at rushcliffe country park in Ruddington. My brother lives in Loughborough and I live in Nottingham so this is a good place for everyone to meet..

Route planned there will be a 2.5k for younger children and a 5k for Adults.

We will be having a raffle and auction, we have some amazing prizes allready! We will have cake stalls. Teddy bears and tombolas!
