Story

In recent years good friends of mine and their families have faced the challenge of living with cancer. Last year I cycled from London to Paris on behalf of MacMillan Cancer Support and a big thank you to all those who  supported me in this venture, the outcome being a donation to  MacMillan of £4,400.

Well, clearly that was not enough of a challenge as I have been lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon 2016. I have chosen to run for a small independent cancer charity, Cherry Lodge Cancer Care, based in Barnet, who offer a free service to those affect by cancer providing information, practical and emotional support, along with complementary therapies to help combat and ease the stress of orthodox treatment. Check out their web-site. I know what good work they do as a friend and colleague has experienced their care.

Now.....I am not a natural runner so any help, advice, plasters, massages etc. that you can give will be most welcome! Drag me out from my desk for a run, nag me about my training, stop me having that second glass of wine, and before any of you ask yes I do have proper running shoes - although it doesn't feel right not being in high-heels.

Any support you can give to me and Cherry Lodge will be most welcome and I will keep you updated as to progress.
