We help young people facing challenges to move towards a positive future

Story

It’s been a tough time recently for everyone, imagine being young and vulnerable in all this!

For many young people, the transition to adulthood isn’t easy. In the UK, one third of young people are lonely, half feel unready for work and half feel like they don’t belong to their community.

At GMYN, our vision is #YoungPeopleCan and we help young people in Greater Manchester overcome this.

They deliver a range of development programmes and drop-in activities to help young people transition to adulthood feeling skilled, supported and positive.

The work is split into four key areas:

Care Experienced Programmes
Youth Leadership Programmes
Social Action & Volunteering
Sector Support & Capacity Building

Adapted for the times, opportunities are currently available via virtual online sessions, guided video activities and 1:1 phone support with a dedicated youth worker, as well as food and activity-pack drop-offs for those most in need. Also socially distanced, face to face activities too.
