Glasgow Old People's Week · 1 October 2017

Glasgow's Golden Generation has been providing care and support for those in their autumn years for 70+ years. Our charity aims to improve the quality of life for older adults in Glasgow through support services from our 2 day care centres, clubs, befriending and welfare advice.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association
has been providing a lifeline for lonely pensioners for almost 70 years.

Hundreds of older people attend our day centres for companionship, activities and a home cooked meal. However, we desperately need help to ensure we can continue to provide these services in our centres and deliver emergency supplies in the cold winter months.

Our vehicles have a limited lifespan and increasing repair costs and in order to uphold our professionally presented fleet of vehicles and maintain our high quality services we require a brand new wheelchair accessible minibus.

The Evening Times is supporting our fundraising drive.
