Story
Many will know that last year on 22nd April 2019, we lost our beautiful girl Beth to suicide. She was our brightest star and her death has torn our worlds apart. Beth was only 26 years old when she died and we miss her so much.
Suicide has crashed its way into our world yet again and we want to remember our girl Beth and help make a difference. Beth touched so many people in her short time on this earth, both personally and professionally as an occupational therapist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She was a passionate and proud Occupational Therapist and loved her job, working to make a difference and help others especially her elderly patients and their families. Beth always wanted to help others and she definitely gave more than she took from life.
Papyrus has enabled us to help more young people and raise awareness ending the silence that surrounds suicide. To support this amazing charity I will be running the Edinburgh 10k please support me and in memory of my beautiful Beth please donate and I would really appreciate it if you could share my page.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide and believes that many young suicides are preventable. They operate HOPELINEUK, a confidential call, text, and email helpline for young people with thoughts of suicide or those concerned about a young person who may have thoughts of suicide. Every £5 raised can help pay for a potentially life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK from a young person wanting to stay safe from their thoughts of suicide. Thank you.
