I have accepted the Women v Cancer challenge to raise as much money as I can to help fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers. Why? Because I have family, friends, colleagues and neighbours who have suffered at the hands of these three cancers; watching them suffering left me feeling helpless so I decided that fundraising for this cause was something constructive I could do to help make a difference.

I have therefore dusted off my 30 year old bike, shaken out my 50+ year old bones and started training in preparation for a 350 km ride through the gruelling climate and terrain of the Bahia region of Brazil. So far my training has been a challenge in itself; I've had to take an 8 week break after suffering a collapsed lung as a result of falling off!

I would really appreciate your support to help keep me motivated and your donations to help me reach my fundraising target, which will in turn help these life saving charities.
