At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Alzheimer's Society is a charity very close to my heart. Alzheimer's is a disease that has affected me personally with relatives of mine suffering from it. Alzheimer's is a terrible disease that not only robs a person of what makes them unique and special, but it also deeply affects the family around them. The work that Alzheimer's Society do around researching the cause of and a cure for Alzheimer's as well as supporting those suffering from Alzheimer's and their families is invaluable and I want to be able to contribute as much as possible.

I began running at the end of April 2012. I've already completed a 5k and my next challenge is the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest Challenge on Saturday 3rd November 2012. A 10k course with 10 obstacle zones this will prove a challenge but I'm ready to take it on!
