Hey, Everyone!

This summer we’ve been extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to intern in some great start-up companies in California, where we have already gained some invaluable experience. The Saltire Foundation has made this possible, for us and 158 other undergraduate students studying in Scotland, allowing us to gain an insight into industry and culture all over the world. The Saltire Foundation is an independent charity and so they rely on sponsors and donations from people like us all to continue the great work they do.

In light of this, we are trying to give back by taking the plunge into the freezing waters of San Francisco Bay as part of the famous Escape from the Rock swim this August. We will be swimming the unpredictable 1.5 mile Pacific crossing between Alcatraz Island and the San Francisco Bay, faced with some of the world’s strongest currents, choppy waters and a few sharks to keep things interesting.

Anything you can spare towards the cause will go a long way and will be much appreciated!
