Brighton Marathon 2017 · 9 April 2017 ·

Working with over 11,000 people with a sight impairment in Kent and surrounding areas, we’re one of the largest local sight loss charities in the UK. Our aims are to work to prevent avoidable sight loss, deliver excellent support services and help people to live independently.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I started running just under 2 years ago. I have been a ballet dancer most of my life but thanks to children and work like etc I no longer dance and wanted to try a different sport that I hadn't done before.

When I started I couldn't run a mile without stopping and came close to giving up a couple of times because of how much my calf muscles used to scream at me!

Now, I run regularly and have taken part in several races including 10km and Half Marathons.

I have set myself a new challenge to run the Brighton Marathon as a personal goal but in doing so thought that I would try to support a local charity which provided assistance for my late Granddad who was partially sighted.
