Little Angels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that trains assistance dogs for disabled individuals throughout the US and internationally. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality dogs to assist in the daily lives of our recipients.

Story

Welcome Friends, Family, And Fans of Four-Legged Furry Friends! We are so excited to have been approved to receive a Psychiatric Service dog for our child from Little Angels Service Dogs. Our desire is to use this new platform to both bring awareness to and raise money for this amazing non-profit.

OUR PERSONAL STORY: Our child struggles in crowded spaces in a way that cripples them. They’ve been living with panic attacks, anxiety, depression and even self destructive behaviors. This has been heart wrenching to parent through. With the help of drs and counselors, we were pointed to Little Angels Service Dogs as a possible PRACTICAL way to help our child in the real world. But Tim and I wondered, “What could a service dog actually do for our child?” It wasn’t until our kiddo personally researched psychiatric service animals and explained to us how a dog can be trained to sense the signs of anxiety in their person and help redirect them to a healthier option for dealing with a stressful situation, that Tim and I really thought this could actually help. I didn’t realize that for them, the crippling reality of social situations could actually be lessened by the physical presence of a trained dog who can provide deep pressure therapy, physically create space between people standing too close and even give them a reason to excuse themselves from an uncomfortable situation. This animal will change their life. As they grow into adulthood with this animal, they can be confident they can be more independent, meet their own needs, even live on their own one day.

You may be like us a year ago, when we saw someone walking with a service dog who didn’t look like they had a disability and wonder what it was for - Was it even a real service dog? But we hope we can bring awareness of the real need for psychiatric service animals.

This organization is a non profit and relies on donations to get these dogs into the hands of those with mental health issues because they believe it can save a life. Will you consider giving today?

FROM LITTLE ANGELSWe train dogs to assist their recipients with Mobility Tasks, Seizure & Diabetic Alert, Hearing Loss, Autism, PTSD, Panic Attacks as well as many other needs. Most of the dogs we place are puppies that have come from our own breeding program and are raised from birth with the specific goal of being an Assistance Dog. Others are lucky enough to be rescued from local shelters and rescue programs and end up changing the lives of others. Each dog's training is personalized to help their individual handlers needs.
