Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

So when normal folk arrange a stag do its the likes of Newcastle, Newquay, Ibiza, Tenerife, Marbella to name a few that are debated as destinations with drinking, go-karting, paint balling & the likes as activities, this stag do is going to be far less glamorous

We will be dragging our behinds around the Yorkshire Dales attempting to complete the 24 odd miles of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge in 2 days, I've also just learned that I've got to carry my belongings around on my back while we do it & knowing the great British weather whilst it is chucking it down one minute & we're getting sunburnt the next

As anyone that knows me or has ever met me will know I'm not built for this type of trauma, I very rarely excersise, haven't prepared for this in the slightest & its not how I would normally choose to spend a weekend

Anyway I thought while I'm being subjected to this madness & without doubt pain & suffering not just during but for days after that I would try to raise some money for a charity very important to my friends & neighbours the Chittenden's whose son lives with Cystic Fibrosis

Jack is a 4 year old boy the because of his condition cannot

- Splash in puddles

- Play in a sandpit

- Dig in the soil or plant seeds

Jack has had to learn to deal with his condition by:

- Spending upto 45mins at time on a nebuliser (this involves sitting still for 45mins, Jack is 4!) severval times a day
- Swallowing upto 3 enzyme capsules (in one go without water) before any meal or snack.

Cystic Fibrosis has many forms but the average life expectancy for people with the condition is 41. This has improved considerably in the last 30 years thanks to the advancement of medical science and the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, please give generously & wish me & my body good luck
