Story
Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life shortening conditions and their families in West Yorkshire. Our charity began more than 13 years ago as a result of the challenges faced by local mum whose son Russell needed full time care.
So far we have supported more than 100 children and their families through our hospice at home service and at our state of the art hospice, Russell House, in Huddersfield.
When a child has a life shortening condition they still need and want the same as every child- the chance to play, to communicate, to experience new things, to learn, to love and to laugh. We are here to do everything we can to make children happier and more fulfilled while they are with us, however long or short that may be. Despite the common perception, a children’s hospice is about enjoying life.
