Story
Colin and Kez Noel have set up a fund to support African families who, like them, have been impacted by Black Diamond Anemia.
Colin and Kez's daughter, Olive, was diagnosed with Black Diamond Anemia (DBA) at 6 weeks old. DBA is a rare genetic disorder which reduces white blood cell count and severely compromises the immune system. Olive and others with DBA face daily challenges to prevent infection. This requires a blood transfusion every 3 to 4 weeks; ensuring consistent blood donors are available; daily iron testing; expensive daily medication and regular injections which would ordinarily be used on patients undergoing chemotherapy. Despite these incredibly tough conditions, thanks to the care that Colin and Kez have been able to secure for Olive, she has made remarkable progress and is now a brave and happy little girl!
Heroically, Colin and Kez have turned their challenges into opportunity by setting up the Olive Children's Foundation. This foundation will provide broader support for DBA in Africa through establishing an infusion clinic, setting up a fund to support families with financial assistance and to fund research for DBA in Africa.

More about the cyclists: 3 teams of 4 cyclists each, will set off from Ouistrehm - Orleans on France's west coast. In relay, each team will cycle for roughly 12 hours per day until we reach the summit of Mont Ventoux 4 days (and 620 miles) later. We are a tight knit group who are driven by positive energy, team work and our ability to help others in need.
