Story
Dear Friends,
Did you know? I am taking part in the London Triathlon this weekend at an Olympic distance. That of course won’t make me an Olympic athlete just one who will swim 1,500 metres, followed by a casual bike ride for 40km, finishing the morning with a lazy 10km run. And the aim is to finish all this under …well, competing/completing is a challenge enough for me so I won’t go as far as having a target finish time.
I am doing this event in aid of Arthritis Research UK. There are various reasons why I picked this particular charity but the main reason is because my grandma suffered from arthritis, my Mum suffers from it and I hope I and many others can avoid suffering from it at a later age with the help of Arthritis Research. Well, that is part of it. But mainly because I know the horrible symptoms of Arthritis and I hope that by raising money for this amazing charity they will be able to help those suffering from it.
So, if you can please contribute towards my fundraising target of £750 by donating on my fundraising page, I and the charity would very much appreciate it.
Many thanks and wish me luck! Next is the half iron man in Austria next May….Until then I have 3 more days feeling rather nervous.
