Kilimanjaro Trek · 26 September 2015

Invest in ME Research has, as its objective, to change how myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) is perceived, treated and researched. We do this by raising funding for biomedical research and improving education about the disease. We are currently facilittaing high-quality biomedical research in UK/Europe

Story

Myself, sister Mo and brother-in-law Simon  plan to take the 7 day Lemosho route to the top of Kilimanjaro, hoping to summit on 26th September.

I will be 70 next birthday and have never attempted anything like this before , but I'm determined to complete this challenging trek and have been training for the last 18 months, despite people thinking I'm crackers!!!

May I ask you to help me raise some money for two very underfunded charities - M.E. and osteoporosis, as two close members of my family suffer from these extremely debilitating conditions?  I would like to keep monies raised as equal as possible for both, so for example, If you were going to donate £5 could you donate £2.50 to each please?

As well as raising  money for biomedical research into Myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E), the charity Invest In M.E. the other charity is The National Osteoporosis Society:
