24 hour Three Peaks Challenge · 17 October 2014

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) is dedicated to the long-term conservation of endangered mammals in the wild & the benefit of people sharing their environment. DSWF funds innovative projects protecting elephants, rhinos, lions, tigers, snow leopard, painted dog, pangolins & chimpanzees

Story

Now in their 30th Year, the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation continues to support many organisations across the world.

In 2014, one elephant is killed every 15 minutes for its ivory with its population decreasing from around 10 million to less than 500,000 in the last 100 years.  For the past 30 years, the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation has worked tirelessly to save the elephant and, in acknowledgement of their 30 anniversary, they have invited local communities to help raise them £30,000 in 300 days to fund their elephant conservation projects before it is too late.

I
n support of this,  along with a team from Clarke Gammon Wellers,  I would like to raise £300 by embarking on the 24 hour Three Peaks Challenge on the 18/19 October 2014.  A donation of  just £5  will pay a keeper's salary for a day, or £10 feeds a baby elephant for three days.

Our courageous team consists of  Me, Tony Jamieson, Paul Monkhouse,  Ken Ford, Alan Childs, Cathy Searle and Rob Pigden.
