Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) at the young age of 16. This was a heartbreaking diagnosis at such an important time of my life; going through my GCSEs, deciding what i wanted to do as a career etc. Watching my friends blossom into beautiful women while i felt "left behind" was devastating.
The Infertility Network have helped me so much over the last 3 years,
they've shown me how to pick myself up, dust myself off and become a stronger
person. Speaking to other ladies in the same situation has taught me that i am
not alone in this and there are options, it's not the end of the world.
I think it's time I gave something back to thank them for their support, so they may continue to help other people just like me.
SO, i will be once again tackling the Rock Solid Race at Escot Park, Exeter in 2016. This time, the bigger, bad-er, 15 km course!
Anyone who knows me will understand how much of a challenge this is for me; the little girl who wouldn't wear her socks the right way around because the seams irritated her toes, the girl who would pick off every grain of sand from her skin before getting dressed at the beach - and all hell would break loose should her clothes have gotten wet....
