In November 2018 Kate was diagnosed with chiari malformation & intracranial hypertension.. She had some symptoms for years but the doctor didn't think any thing of it 5 years ago, She kept going back and getting the same answer. Until she went to get her new glasses and her left field vision in her eye was blurry. 

She was sent to see an eye doctor and quickly admitted her to hospital thinking she was had a brain tumour, after a few days 2 lumbar punctures and 3 CT and MRI scans they diagnosed me with intracranial hypertension (Swelling on the brain, False brain tumour) I went home after a week and the after another week later she got rushed back into hospital, the doctors said she had a cerebral leak in her back. (Fluid from around my head is leaking into my back) after more tests she had a blood patch to block the hole and was then diagnosed with chiari malformation. They said she was born with it but and it doesnt always show in childhood. 

Since November 2018 and Janurary 2019 she has had 3 lumbar puntures, 2 blood patches and a nerve block in the back of her head she is now currently waiting for decompression surgery where they cut a little bit of her skull out at the back of her head. 

Now we want to spread the awareness as you can be born with it without having problems until you are a teenager or adult.
