My name is Kate Wilkinson, and I am a student at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge. My goal is to raise £200 for the Alkaptonuria Society by running the Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon in February. I support the AKU Society’s belief that rare disease patients should not feel isolated, and I would like to help build a supportive community for sufferers. I would also like to see them achieve their goal of finding a treatment for such a rare and debilitating disease.
