Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

On September 10th, we will nervously begin our climb of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. It will take us six long days of climbing to reach the summit (hopefully!), camping along the way.

The main purpose of our trip is to raise funds for the new Marie Curie Hospice for the West Midlands, construction of which begins in early 2011. In addition to providing much needed in-patient care, the hospice also serves as the base for the Marie Curie nursing service which is provided to terminally ill people across the West Midlands. With a fund-raising target of ten million pounds, we hope to make our own small contribution to the invaluable work undertaken by Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Please give generously, much preparation and hard work has been undertaken by us both in readiness for the climb! We are greatly looking forward to the challenge ahead and hope you can help us make it all worth while.

Thank you for your support!
