At Plantlife, our aim is to make lasting positive change for wildflowers, plants and fungi. Our goal is to help mitigate the impact of climate change while rebuilding biodiversity within our ecosystems. We regularly join forces with others to ensure our money, influence and impact can go further.

Story

I love being outdoors (when it's not raining, at least!) and I love seeing plants that I recognise and trying to identify plants that are new to me. Wildflowers in particular brighten up my walks: from pretty-as-a-picture snowdrops, primroses and bluebells in the spring, to the scent of wild roses and honeysuckle in the summer.

Plantlife is an incredible charity that punches way above its weight in protecting important sites for plants, and in educating people about the wonders of the plant world. The aim is for wildlflowers to be as common as they were just a few generations ago - in every road verge, in every garden, in every field.

I'm running this half marathon in my old stomping ground of Hampton Court to raise money for Plantlife. I've been training since November - and even trained in 30 degree heat in South Africa. Unfortunately, I've developed a dodgy knee but I'm not letting that stop me ;-) Please help me raise funds for a charity that does incredible work.
