Fisher House is a home away from home for military patients and their families at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, where the UK's military patients are treated.

Story

In May 2013 my younger brother Andrew died very suddenly and tragically, which was quite a shock to all his friends and family. Andrew had joined the US Army in 2002 and just a year later he was first deployed to Iraq for 6 months, during his 8 year stint in the US Army he was sent out to Iraq for a further three deployments , each lasting about 6 months.

So this year I decided that I needed to do something and raise money for a charity called the Fisher House Foundation, who is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. The Foundation also manages a grant program that supports other military charities and scholarship funds for military children, spouses and children of fallen and disabled veterans.

Any donations for this very worthy cause would be gratefully received!
