British 10k · 14 July 2013

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

On July 14th I will be donning my trainers to pound the streets of London with Hannah Tankard, and a few other people (25,000!) to raise money for CALM.

CALM works to prevent male suicide in the UK. Suicide accounts for the deaths of more young men in England and Wales than road death, murder and HIV/AIDs combined.

CALM seek to offer immediate support to men who are down or in crisis. They offer a helpline from 5pm-midnight everyday of the year.  £150 will pay for someone to offer advice and support over the phone for an evening.

If you would like to learn more about them please see www.thecalmzone.net for a charity website with a diference - you could think it was for a magazine or band!

I'm very grateful for any support you are able to give to help this amazing charity.
