We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Finally done it, it was fantastic, can't wait to do it again next year, time ok @ 57.40 I came 2640th out of 5000, so not bad!!

I originally decided to swim as a way of trying to get fit, and I registered on a whim, convincing my daughter and her friend to take part as well. I've really enjoyed the process, and just hope I can complete it. I managed to buy a wetsuit that's too big and can only swim breaststroke in it.

I've decided to swim for RNIB because they helped my Dad when he became blind and are now helping my Mum and a neighbour.

It's true that I have to wear a wetsuit and swimming hat, (I didn't read the instructions fully when I signed up, thinking it was optional!) Not a good look I can assure you and I will be trying very hard not to be photo'd.
