Over the years Maggie's has had many centre visitors who have taken part in the race and raised huge amounts of money but this year I wanted to lead by example. I have been inspired by centre visitors who we support and also the supporters who take on challenges for us.

I have seen Centre Visitors experience the short and long term side effects of their cancer diagnosis and this has encouraged me to set myself a personal challenge.  To get fit, compete and to raise as much awareness and funds for Maggie's as I possibly can.

I have never completed a triathlon before and this has proven to be a very difficult challenge but one I have thoroughly enjoyed and it is enabling me to make a difference to people living with cancer.
