Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We chose to raise money for Immunodeficiency UK to help support the work the amazing work they do. When Katie was diagnosed with an Immunodeficiency in 2013, this charity was a much needed and heavily relied on, wealth of information and resources, as well as a community of other patients. Immunodeficiencies are rare, with only 5,000 UK patients currently diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiencies in the UK, so it so important that their patients and their families fully understand the condition. Without this amazing charity and the resources it creates, navigating life with a rare condition would be so much more difficult. They also support and encourage research into the causes and prevention of immunodeficiencies, so that future patients can be diagnosed and receive treatment quicker, or even find a cure for their condition. We are running the half marathon to say thank you to this amazing charity and to support them so they can continue their work, helping others in the UK.
