Katie and Ashleigh are doing the GNR 16 to help raise money and awareness of a fabulous charity that helps make miracles happen everyday for parents just like katie. Katies daughter was born premature at 29 weeks old and was told there was only a small chance that her tiny baby would survive. 6 long months of fighting each day millie showed she was not ready to give up and with the support of tiny lives, family and friends all obstacles have been over come. Nearly 5 years on and to this day tiny lives holds a special place in Katie and Ashleighs lives. 

Katie and Ashleigh want others to be aware of how serious prematurity is and how difficult this can be for parent, family and friends. They have supported katie and millie still to this day by reuniting them every year for a christmas party with other families that they stood side by side in hospital with (incubator-incubator) and others in the same position some that now are dear friends.

Ashleigh has her own special reasons for wanting to run along side Katie not only in memory of millie but for her dear friend Dez whos son was premature and suffered a great deal. He to has blossomed because of the help and support tiny lives were able to provide.
