Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This summer, I have the fantastic opportunity to lead a team of five young women, travelling to Rwanda for three weeks in July – August 2018 to continue the Girlguiding work there.
I have been a member of Girlguiding since the age of 5 and I have always played an active volunteering role within my community for Girlguiding. I have taken part in a variety of events such as Marching in Remembrance Day Parade to gaining my Adult Leadership Qualification to become a leader at my local Guide, Brownie and Rainbow group. I have been asked this year to organise World Thinking Day for my district in which I have to organise around 100 Girlguiding members from the age of 5 – 14. I am currently working towards my Queens Guide Award and I am honoured to be selected as leader to go on this year’s international trip to represent Girlguiding UK on GOLD Rwanda 2018.
I have always lived in Beverley; I have completed 4 A-Levels at Wyke College and an apprenticeship at a local recovery agent. I have now moved on to work full time as a contract assistant at Kingstown Works Limited, I still love to lead my Rainbows and Brownies in Skirlaugh and Guides in Beverley.
