I am summiting Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m, 19341 ft)  in January 22 for the Jon Egging Trust to support their goal of reaching 1M young people by 2031.

I am passionate about inspiring young people, encouraging self belief, challenging personal and societal perceptions and developing resilience to take forward into their adult lives. The Jon Egging Trust epitomizes all of these values and has an action plan to deliver that isn't just words.

Jon Egging Trust provides young people who face significant barriers to learning, with access to inspirational individuals and opportunities linked to aviation, engineering and science, raising their aspirations and helping them re-engage with education. 

Gaz was one of those inspirational individuals and I am summiting in January, when it would have been his 42nd Birthday.

The cost of the climb will be entirely covered by me and any donations will go directly to Jon Egging Trust. 5% of the cost of my trip will be used for conservation and rewilding projects.

If due to further travel restrictions I am unable to travel on my chosen dates, which at the time of writing is confirmed,  this challenge will be completed as soon as restrictions allow.
