I DID IT!!!!

I SURVIVED THE LONDON MARATHON!

Thanks to everyone's support, help ful advice, and for believing in me! THANK YOU!

And thanks to all the people cheering us on and giving out water, lucozade, oranges, bananas, candy and lots more...

It definately was an amazing once in a lifetime experience! If I'd do it again? not sure but I am happy I did it on the marathon's 30th anniversery!

The first half easy peasy... I did 18 miles in about 4 hours which was good too! I had to work hard for the 20 miles but I managed to run passed it, after the 20 miles mark I was running, hopping and walking mostly. The last 3 miles were gruelsome! and if it wasn't for the 2 ladies I met on the DLR on the way there who ran into me near the end who kept spurring me on I might've had to sit down for a while to rest.... but thanks to them I did it in 6 hours and 15min!

After I finished the marathon I was pretty darn happy!!!

I've almost reached my £950 target so I am still hoping people might want to donate......

You are a STAR for helping me on my quest to help protect the RAINFOREST.

We've been told that you can only do long distance training for up to 1 month before the marathon so last Saturday I cycled on the Regent Canal from Mile end to Regent's Park for about 1.5 hrs where nearby I had an introduction to Krav Maga an Isrealian Self Defense class that lasted about 1.5 hrs. Afterwards I cycled around Regent's Park and then back up the Canal past London Zoo, Camden Town and then all the way baack to Mile end/Stepney Green. In total I was active for almost 5 hrs. So it was a training good day!

We had to move last Wednesday. We found a beautiful place in shadwell near Lime house station. So from now on my Jog's will start at the very beginning of the Regent's Canal in the East end! :)

Tomorrow; Sunday I'll be running as fast as I can for 1.5 hrs. But I'm afraid that may be the last time I can train.

The Marathon is just 7 days away now... And I've only raised £35! I do hope I will be able to get more donations before Sunday......

Training is going very well! I am now on 20 miles which takes me about 4.5 hours... Tomorrow I shall aim to run for 5 hours! 1 of the reasons I'm running the Marathon is because I cycle too much and overdeveloped my Quadriceps and neglected my Hamstrings... Well I can tell you that when my muscles start to ache it's exactly where I want to it to...

I really need to work harder on my fundraising though! I hope I'll get more donations in the next few weeks!
