Story

In memory of our beautiful Amy Jane Deeley 🦋

On the 1st of May 2022,  myself Katie Owen, Ashleigh Owen, Chloe betts and Tommy winfield are partaking in a 10,000ft Tandam Skydive in Nottingham Langar Airfield. Our chosen charity is MIND as they provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding as well as supporting grieving families and friends. Nobody should be made to suffer in silence, alone.

A month before Amy's 26th birthday, on the 30th June, 2019 our lives changed forever. Our darling Amy  took her own life. Amy was facing demons in her own ‘mind’ that no one knew about. There’s not always obvious signs to show when someone is struggling mentally as not all illnesses are visible. Amy  was very brave to face them alone for as long as she did without any support. With MIND, their support network is very approachable and well known - which is exactly what is needed in the society which we live in today.

Amy  was the most selfless, compassionate and loyal person out there. It was in Amy  nature to always put others first, especially with her work on the Palliative Care Unit. Amy was always the first one to support you in anytime of need, she was undeniably reliable in any scenario. From an outsiders perspective Amy had it all, the “perfect life” so to speak, homeowners, proposed to in Mexico with the dolphins by her dearest Fiancé Joe who will always have a place for Amy  in his heart. Amy  always lived life to the fullest (especially with a gin or two in her hand), embracing all the memories with her wonderful, caring family and friends, their company was all she needed for her happiness, especially when it came down to the bond she had with her dog, Mia. Her humour was enough to light up a room, especially with her gorgeous beady blue eyes and her bright smile. Amy  wasn’t shy to flaunt off her gorgeous blonde locks. The relationship Amy had with her family was like no other. Amy parents, Sharon and Keith raised Amy Jane and her brother Christopher in Sheffield with nothing but love, warmth and laughter.

The importance of this message ultimately is to emphasise the fact that, it is okay not to be okay and despite the traumatic experiences this year has brought to us, it is crucial for Sharon and Keith to always remain strong for Amy Janes memory. They should be very proud of the young woman they raised and her memory will always go on. 🦋🦋🦋

Any donations to this unfortunate cause in memory of Amy Jane is greatly appreciated, spread the word and raise awareness.

Together, and with MIND, we can and will make a difference.
