Firstly, thank you so much for visiting this page!
Macmillan is an incredible charity, providing help, support and information at the worst of times. I’m sure that like me you will have attended a Macmillan
coffee morning at some point. I can say that I’ve always diligently ate copious amounts of cake! But now I want to do a bit more...
It’s been a tumultuous few months for me and my family where we have found ourselves at the receiving end of Macmillan’s great work. In October my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread to her brain. Since then we’ve had regular contact with a Macmillan nurse, who’s advice has been crucial in helping us all to cope. I have personally also found all of the information provided by Macmillan to be very useful and safe (away from google).
So I would like to give a bit back and run a marathon in honour of this amazing charity! They provide many people with great resources through a really awful
time. 1 in 2 people are diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives - that’s a lot of families to support!
Right, best get training...
