Story
As a lot of you know that I have been participating or spectating in various sporting events to celebrate my 50th birthday year. Although I always wanted to do this run, I am dedicating it to my mother who unfortunately passed away in March this year. In her memory I decided to raise money for the London Durga Puja and Dussehra Association, which every year in October/November becomes our family's religious, cultural and social hub. Over the years my mother had found a lot of joy in visiting and participating in the Puja (religious ceremony) and the several events organised by this charity in Hampstead. The association also contrtbutes significantly to other cultural organisations of north London.
I would really appreciate if you can support this charity by contributing to my page. No donation is small.
One of the world's most popular runs, the Great North is a 13.1 mile journey from Newcastle's city centre to the coast in South Shields. You can read more about it here https://www.greatrun.org/great-north-run; and also follow BBC's coverage on the day and try to spot me amongst the other 60,000 who are running.
Thanks in advance.
