London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

Phab inspires and supports disabled and non-disabled children, young people and adults, to make more of life together, through our network of 130 clubs & residential adventures - breaking down community barriers, reducing social isolation, and creating opportunities for all involved.

Story

For many years now I have wanted to run a marathon but although I've always liked exercising and being active I've never liked running! This all changed in January 2016 when I decided to go for a run one lunchtime at work and the rest is history! After completing my first half marathon in May 2016, I decided the time was right to fulfil a life long ambition and do my first marathon....

The next big decision was which charity. When I was on holiday with my family last year, there was a family with a disabled child and I watched how hard daily life was for them. They were always happy and having fun and it inspired me to support a charity that helps and supports families to make life as easy as possible for adults and children.

For almost 60 years Phab has supported and encouraged children and adults with and without disabilities to make more of life together. Your donation will make a difference and will help the amazing work of this charity continue.

Hopefully the 23rd April will be a cool, cloudy, dry day (I'm not asking for much) and I hope to see as many of you as possible on route. The three Musketeers (Danni, Tracey and myself) will be in need of all the encouragement we can get :-)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
