My wonderful husband was diagnosed with Grade 4 GBM in July 2013 and lost his life at home at 9.30 am on Boxing day 2014, having just celebrated his 60th birthday.

On September 2nd I shall celebrate my 60th and as there is nothing I want except him back, I would ask that all those who knew and loved him make a donation in lieu of any gifts to me, in his memory.

The devastation that a brain cancer diagnosis brings is hard to describe and as both his neurosurgeon and oncologist said on the occasion of his death  "we really don't know how best to treat this disease"
