I will be running the Las Vegas Marathon in December, 2012 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my Grandfather who passed away 3 years ago due to cancer. He was a fighter, and his attitude throughout his illness was inspiring. Before, and even after he was diagnosed, he was at every football match i played and even became lovingly known as 'Grandad' to all the members of my team' His positivity, even though the hardest times, was admirable - I believe most of this was due to the love, care and support of all the Macmillan nurses he had looking after him . They have a real heart for people and a real heart for their job - which i do not believe is an easy one. It's my turn to give something back to them, for everything that they did, and continue to do! So in memory of my Grandad, in support for all the Macmillan nurses out there... and with a heart to all of those affected by cancer.. please please donate whatever you can...it's true what they say.. EVERY LITTLE HELPS :)
