This year I have set myself the challenge of running my very first Great North Run. I have decided to use this opportunity of all my hard work (trust me - it's going to take lots) to raise money for a local, inspirational charity - Newcastle United Foundation. 

The charity runs programmes to help nurture, inspire and support youngsters throughout the area; offering a ray of hope to a child's life ensuring they see their potential and worth as an individual. The foundation helps build a successful, bright future for some who may never have had the chance.  

Not only does the charity harness the potential of the youngsters that it encounters - it motivates and develops their skills focusing on local causes, benefitting the local community, helping to support our fantastic city!
