Durrell Challenge 2021 · 21 May 2021 to 24 May 2021 ·

Take on the 13K Durrell Challenge to save species from extinction. Through Durrell's work in the wild and at Jersey Zoo we recover wildlife, revive ecosystems and reconnect people to nature.

Story

I am 10 years old and I love animals.

I love JerseyZoo and I go as often as I can with my mummy.

One day I would like to work there and help care for the animals and save different species from extinction.

This is my 5th year fundraising for my favourite place in the whole wide world and this year I have convinced mummy to take part in the Virtual Durrell Challenge and I really hope that I can reach my target and that mummy will cross her virtual finish line.

Here is where you come in....if you would like to help all you have to do is donate as little or as much as you like and also share my justgiving link to all of your friends and family too.

Together we can Rewild Our World and #doitfordurrell.

With much thanks....Keir

Hi all....as you know Keir loves JerseyZoo and we go as often as we can....every Sunday. What you may not know is that Keir has a rare genetic condition called Tatton Brown Rahman Syndrome, he is autistic, dyspraxic and has verbal dyspraxia, he is hearing impaired, dyslexic, has hypo-plasia and hyper-mobility.....ultimately this limits what Keir can and cannot do.

One thing that he cannot do is The Durrell Road race and technically I am no were near fit enough to do it myself, it is a course not for the faint hearted and if you don’t believe me just ask Henry Cavill!

What I am able to do this year is the Virtual Durrell Challenge and I am doing it on behalf of Keir and I aim to run/walk the 13km in 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Keir would also love to raise as much money as he can for his favourite place in the planet where he has made so many friends, animals (yes they know who he is) zoo keepers, volunteers and endless amounts of the amazing staff from the CEO, the fabulous events and fundraising team, the education team and even the vets.

Thank you for visiting our page and taking the time to read our story....if you can we would love you to make a donation however big or small or share the link to my justgiving and social media pages.

Love and hugs
Angela xoxo
